We believe in keeping things simple and clear. We collect only the data we need to run DiscordDir, we don't sell your data to anyone and we don't run advertising or tracking networks.
DiscordDir ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at discord-dir.com and the associated DiscordDir Discord bot (Application ID: 1485218101002899527).
For data protection purposes we are the data controller of the personal data you provide when using our Service. For questions about how we handle your data, see Section 12.
When you log in with Discord, we receive and store:

When you submit a server or bot listing, we store:
This information is stored in our database and displayed publicly on DiscordDir as part of the listing.
When you upvote a listing, we increment a counter in our database and set a browser cookie to prevent duplicate votes. We do not associate votes with your user account. votes are anonymous and tracked per device/browser via cookies.
We increment a view counter when a listing page is visited. We do not log IP addresses or user identifiers alongside view events.
Our web server may automatically record standard log data including IP addresses, browser type, referring pages and timestamps. This data is used solely for debugging and security monitoring and is not linked to user accounts. Log files are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising or behavioural tracking services.
The DiscordDir Discord bot (Application ID: 1485218101002899527) collects the following data from Discord servers it joins:
The bot does not read messages, access DMs, collect member lists, or store any individual user data from the servers it joins.
When the bot is removed from a server (guildDelete event), the server's listing is marked inactive. No data is immediately deleted but inactive listings may be removed during routine cleanup.
To request deletion of your server's data from our database, please contact us (see Section 12).

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Please note that some anonymised aggregate data (e.g., total vote counts) cannot be individually removed.

DiscordDir is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Users under 18 should have a parent or guardian review this Privacy Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the website. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
